The Virginia Land & Estate Company
Testimonials
My name is Mel Benhoff and I have been building high-end custom homes in the Baltimore area for over 30 years. I am a perfectionist in my work and as such the homes that I build are known in the industry to be of the highest quality in terms of design, architectural beauty, and overall craftsmanship.
When I decided to have a home built on the Northern Neck of Virginia for my family I knew I needed to find a local builder with the same experience, workmanship, and dedication to perfection that I demand of myself. I spent a great deal of time getting to know the area, interviewing builders, checking out their work, and getting a feel for who was really on top of their game. I quickly learned that Forrest Henry was a contractor who had the knowledge and experience to meet my extremely high standards.
Working with Forrest was a great experience and the house really exceeded all of my expectations. It is reminiscent of the quality and detail found in the homes I build in Maryland which is very rare these days. Forrest Henry is truly the Builder’s Builder.

When we were searching for a builder for our second home we knew immediately that Forrest Henry was the one! He showed us several houses that he had already completed and seeing first hand his quality of workmanship, we were sold. As we started our own home, we got to see first hand the detail that he put into every aspect of our house. From the pouring of our foundation to the last finishing touch we were more than impressed and extremely happy. His attention to detail is beyond expectation. Forrest built our dream house and brought much joy and happiness to the whole experience.

Our builder, Forrest Henry, executed the plans flawlessly. His attention to detail was second to none. He is the absolute perfectionist and built the home as if it was for himself with upgrades, such as 2x6 framing and copper flashing. Everything from the pilings to the bracing and framing was overbuilt. I am sure the home will be enjoyed by many generations of Schiavo’s.

Forrest Henry has to be one of the premier builders in the Northern Neck. He started when he said he would. He promptly returned phone calls and he finished on schedule. Several builder friends have visited our home and agree that the craftsmanship is uncommonly good. All in all, building a home with Forrest was a very pleasant experience for both me and my wife and we are very pleased with the results.
